Today marks the historic day of Kachin revolution, and Kachin National
Organization solemnly salutes our patriots who have gone before us and
sacrificed their lives.

To regain God-given inalienable rights and equality for all Kachins, today
serves as a historic day when we stood up to revolt against mainstream
chauvinism.

As we do not fail to forget the lives, sweat, and blood we dedicated during
our past journey, we shall remember to recognize the importance of continual
dedication as we draw closer to our independence.

Kachin Independence Organization signed ceased-fire agreement with the SPDC
regime with genuine desire to achieve peace and independence. While seeing
and experiencing constant oppression and torture, we are disgruntle of the
fact that cease fire agreement have not bear the fruits of peace though we are
now approaching the 14th year.

We have a journey we have yet complete and fields we have yet to harvest.
Therefore, we challenge everyone today to join-in to support as we gather our
strengths to fight for the people and the nation.

For our fight is just, without a shadow of a doubt would be regain our
victory.
